VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations

May 8th 2025. Up and down the country public and private gatherings were held in celebration of the ending of WW2 in 1945, 80 years ago yesterday. FireBeacons, many proudly manufactured here in the UK by Firebrand Green Heat, were lit as a traditional mark of respect for the fallen and to recognise the light of hope which was generated by the ending of hostilities by the allied forces.

The VE Day anniversary grows in importance each year as the world moves into ever more uncertain times. The freedoms and liberty so hard won over 80 years ago must surely be forever worth defending.
